Febreze and other cleaners simply masked the urine odors and some cleaning solutions that i d found online would remove the odor but didn t work well on the stains.

Follow these steps for the third method. Use a sufficient amount of stain remover to ensure that product soaks through the mattress as much as the urine would have originally soaked through. If the urine stain is new blot away excess liquid.

White vinegar is actually a great ingredient to use when cleaning anything from mirrors to mattresses. For most mattress stains a dab of liquid detergent or an all purpose. Avoid rubbing the stain as this will only spread the urine deeper into the mattress.
